Katahdin, GHCA to play benefit hoop game

    Before the Christmas holiday, a benefit basketball game between Katahdin High School and the Greater Houlton Christian Academy will be held Dec. 7 in Stacyville.
    The girls’ game will start at 5 p.m., followed by the boys’ contest at 6:15 p.m.
    In an annual tradition, admission that evening will not be in the form of money. Instead, spectators will be admitted by bringing a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Island Falls Food Pantry.
