Doris Tuttle

    Doris Tuttle passed into the Lord’s hands on January 8, 2011. She has now been reunited with her beloved husband, Huey Tuttle. She was born on March 22, 1936 in Houlton, Maine to Raymond and Maxine Henderson. She was married to Huey “Sonny” Tuttle on November 28, 1956 in Houlton, Maine where they resided until 1979.
    Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She worked for many years in the laboratory at Madigan Memorial Hospital in Houlton, Maine. Doris and Huey owned many businesses including Littleton Gas in Littleton, Maine and H.T. Trading Post in Zwolle, Louisiana.
    Doris was preceded in death by her husband Huey Tuttle; parents Ray and Maxine Henderson; brother Eugene Henderson of Littleton, Maine; and son-in-law Mark Wilmot of Oakfield, Maine and Zwolle, Louisiana.
    Doris is survived by her three children, Lynn Wilmot of Zwolle, Louisiana, Lori Vines and husband Eddie of Zwolle, Louisiana and Robert “Bob” Tuttle and wife Barbara of Ville Platte, Louisiana; grand-children Jeremy Wilmot and wife Kristin of Plano, Texas, Sarah (Wilmot) Bull of Zwolle, Louisiana; and Betty Jo Vines of Zwolle, Louisiana; great-granddaughter Jolea Bull; sister Elizabeth “Sally” Reed and husband Floyd of Houlton, Maine; sisters-in-law Jeanie Henderson of Houlton, Maine, Bertha Champion of Zwolle, Louisiana, Joyce Farris of Zwolle Louisiana, Ozzie Tuttle of Lemoore, California; brother-in-law David “Earl” Tuttle of Houghton, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
    A memorial service is planned for Doris and Huey Tuttle as their earthly remains are reunited at the United Methodist Church in Zwolle, Louisiana at 2 p.m. on Thursday January 13, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church in Houlton, Maine.
