Safety winners

SAFETY WINNERS — Walmart in Houlton sponsored a safety poster contest recently that involved children from local schools. The students were asked to illustrate important safety measures they should practice when shopping. The winners selected by a panel of judges were from left, Hannah Foster, second grade, fourth place; Emma Foster, third grade, third place; Paige Campagna, kindergarten, second place; and Robert Pelton, first place, grade one. They received $25, $50, $75 and $100 respectively for their classrooms and a sticker book for themselves. Presenting the prizes were from left in back, Lindsay Fredette and Kathleen King representatives of Walmart.
