Baxter State Park taking reservations

    Reservations are available for Baxter State Park’s 2011 camping season. Campers can make reservations on a first come-first served basis.
    In 2010, two new leantos on Katahdin Lake were opened in the park. Park staff is planning the construction of a day shelter at Chimney Pond in 2011. They also expects to launch limited on-line reservations in 2011, allowing campers making a reservation within two weeks of their intended arrival date to reserve sites at eight of Baxter’s 10 organized campgrounds.
