Chapter 1 – When It All Began
Once there lived a little boy, little girl, and their ma and pa. They lived in a tribe called “Cakey.” One day the little boy, Crow, and the little girl, Nika, were traveling through the forest. They heard a growling sound and went to check it out. A wolf with a fierce face came out of a cave. Another wolf came to the rescue and saved Crow and Nika.
Chapter 2 – What’s Wrong
When they started traveling again, they saw the wolf was panting and staring at the ground.
“What do you think is wrong with him, Nika?” asked Crow.
“I don’t know…aha!” Nika blurted out. “I think he is lonely.”
“Great thinking!” said Crow.
“Well, what should we do for him?” asked Nika.
“What if we keep him for a pet!” said Crow.
“Well, what do you think?” Crow asked the wolf. The wolf jumped up and barked.
“I think he likes it,” said Nika. “Me too,” said Crow.
Chapter 3 – Lost
They started walking further into the forest and realized it was getting dark.
“I think we should head home,” said Nika.
“But wait! Where are we?” asked Crow.
“I don’t know but I think we’re lost!” panicked Nika.
“Wait Nika,” said Crow. “Don’t panic and just relax and be calm.”
She did exactly what he told her to do. They started yelling for help and had no luck. Soon they realized they needed to get home before sundown. They hurried through the forest and then Nika tripped and fell.
“Help!” cried Nika. Crow ran to her and helped her up. They started to walk slower.
Chapter 4 – Back Home
Finally, they saw a light up ahead and ran towards it. They were screaming to get someone’s attention. It was their ma and pa! They were so happy to see them. They went back home and ate some dinner. The wolf was disappointed. He slept on their front porch all night long. Eventually, they let him inside.
Chapter 5 – What Name
That night they thought of what they should name wolf.
“What should we name him?” Nika asked.
“I don’t know…aha he does have fangs, gray and white fur so what about White Fang?” asked Crow.
“Ya, great thinking Crow,” said pa and ma.
They went to bed. Crow crowed and woke them all up. They had breakfast and took White Fang for a walk.
Chapter 6 – The End of White Fang
That day White Fang got terribly sick. They took care of him as much as they could. However, they were unable to save White Fang. They had really wanted to save White Fang because he had saved them from another wolf. That night White Fang died. They prayed and blessed him. White Fang would always be remembered as the wolf who was known for being a rescuer.
