In honor of Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, the Houlton Pioneer Times asked pre-kindergarten students at Mill Pond Elementary School to tell the newspaper why their mom is special.
Mill Pond AM Pre-K Class
Anna — My mom is special because she does things for me, like taking me to supper.
Aubrey — I love my mom because I just do.
Aurora — She is special because I like her food.
Brody L. — Because she gives me treats.
Brooke — Because she takes care of me.
Cole — She does things for me.
Gracie — She give me new stuff.
James —‘Cause she takes me to the doctor.
Jaycee — Because she is MY mom.
Jayden — She’s going to get me a bike for my birthday.
Johnas — Because she makes stuff I like.
Katie — She is special because when I eat my supper, she lets me have candy.
Kaydence — Because she has a baby and I have hamster.
Michael — She plays baseball with me.
Molly — Because moms give their kids things.
Samantha — My mom is special because she loves me so much. She loves me when I am playing with toys.
Samuel D. — I love my mom because she loves me.
Sydney R. — She lets me have milk in the morning.

Bruce — She makes special lunches for me.
Chloe — I love her because she likes me and she lets me draw my own numbers.
Cooper — My mom packs stuff for the beach.
George — She takes me to the ice cream store for dinner.
