Market research for government contracting training available

    The Northern Maine Development Commission, the Sunrise County Economic Council and the Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center, with support from the Small Business Administration and the Maine Small business Development Center, will present a workshop on market research for government contracting for Aroostook and Washington County area entrepreneurs.
    The workshop will be offered free of charge Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 9-11 a.m.
    The training session will help companies: Identify which federal agencies purchase your product or service; who currently supplies that product or service; how much is purchased and how frequently; and learn about tools to assist in doing competitive research.
    The workshop will be offered in Caribou and simulcast via video conference to locations in Fort Kent, Houlton, Calais and Machias. This is a two-way video conference allowing participants to interact live with the presenter.
    Attendees in The County can go to the NMDC office in Caribou or to satellite offices in Fort Kent and Houlton.
