HOULTON — The following cases were heard at the Aroostook County Superior Court during the month of December.
Richard Adams, 54, Houlton: domestic violence assault, $300 fine, 364 days in jail, all but 90 days suspended and one-year probation.
Kraig Ayotte, 22, Millinocket: theft by unauthorized taking or transfer (two counts), three months in jail (each); and burglary (two counts), three months in jail (each) and $1,000 restitution (first).
Joshua J. Branscombe, 22, Oakfield: reckless conduct, $600 fine, 18 months in prison, all suspended and two years’ probation.
Travis L. Cottle, 27, Houlton: forgery, one year in prison; aggravated forgery, dismissed; theft by receiving stolen property, priors, one year in prison and $185.24 restitution; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer (eight counts), six months in jail (each); burglary of a motor vehicle (10 counts), 364 days in prison (each) and $690 restitution (fourth).
Tonya Cowperthwaite, 31, Monticello: theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, 364 days in prison, all but 68 days suspended, one-year probation and $1,186.66 restitution; burglary and stealing drugs, dismissed (each); criminal trespass and violating condition of release, 30 days in jail (each).
Derek L. Elwell, 23, Bath: criminal mischief, filed without costs.
Aaron P. Folsom, 42, Houlton: domestic violence assault, acquitted.
Bailey M. McGuire, 20, Linneus: false public alarm or report, dismissed.
Keith W. Mitchell, Sr., 41, Sherman: operating under the influence, $500 fine, 72 hours in jail and 90-day license suspension; and motor vehicle speeding 30-plus mph over speed limit, 72 hours in jail.
Jessica Patlan Richard, 19, Mason, N.H.: unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $1,000 fine.
Philip A. Salb, 25, Houlton: cultivating marijuana, dismissed; and unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $2,000 fine.
Gary L. Sanders, 58, Linneus: assault (two counts), prohibited contact with person under 14 years of age (two counts), and violating condition of release (two counts), dismissed (each).
Michael C. Shain, 26, Houlton: domestic violence assault, nine months in jail, all suspended and one-year probation.
Edward C. Spence, 27, Fort Fairfield: OUI, $500 fine and 90-day license suspension.
James D. Watson, 33, Littleton: unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $400 fine, 364 days in prison, all suspended and one-year administrative release sentence.
