It’s February and it’s high school tournament time.
Several local teams will be involved in playoff games for the right to advance to the Eastern Maine Classes B-C-D Tournament Feb. 15-23.
The schedule of games are as follows: Tonight, the No. 5 Hodgdon boys host No. 12 Limestone/MSSM at 6 p.m., while No. 9 Southern Aroostook travels to No. 8 Easton — the game will be broadcast and streamed on WHOU-FM — and No. 11 Katahdin heads to No. 6 Machias. Tuesday was the preliminary games for the girls’ teams. In action, the No. 3 Hodgdon girls hosted No. 14 East Grand. The winner of this game will meet the winner of No. 6 Van Buren and No. 11 Southern Aroostook (held yesterday in Van Buren) in the Class D quarterfinals on Saturday night at 7:35 p.m. at the Bangor Auditorium.
The girls Class D quarterfinal winner will advance to the semifinals Thursday afternoon at 2:05 p.m.

The Houlton boys take the top seeding in Class C and await the winner of No. 8 Bucksport/No. 9 Fort Kent for their quarterfinal game Tuesday at 3:35 p.m. in Bangor.
The No. 4 Houlton girls will face No. 5 Mattanawcook Academy in their Class C quarterfinal game Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Bangor.
