Houlton Water Co. to lower electricity rates

HOULTON, Maine — Houlton Water Company announced Feb. 7 that it would be lowering electricity rates for its customers starting April 1.
According to HWC president John Clark, the reduction is due to a new contract with Algonquin Energy Services, who will provide standard offer energy from April 1 to March 31, 2015 as part of a two-year agreement.
