Faye (Codrey) Cole, who holds Monticello’s Boston Post Cane, had a five-generation photo taken when her grandson Duane Cole was born. Recently Mrs. Cole sat for another five-generation photo to celebrate the birth of her great-grandson Gregory Cole’s daughter, Lillith. In the oldest photograph are, clockwise from bottom left, Charles Codrey, Rollie Codrey, Morris Cole and Faye (Codrey) Cole holding baby Duane Cole at 6 months old. The most recent photograph, below, includes, clockwise from bottom left, Gregory Cole, Duane Cole, Morris Cole and Faye Cole holding baby Lillith Cole, just 3 days old at the time of the picture.
