The East Grand School Outdoor Program took on the great oudoors again this year. Here, Sarah Stoddard and Josh Jones enjoyed a weeklong canoe trip on the Bonaventure River in Quebec. Students gained numerous camping and canoeing skills as they canoed 80 miles of lively water, class II and a few class III rapids. The trip began in the Chi Choc Mountains on the Gaspe Peninsula ending in the Bay of Chaleur seven days later. Each day students set up camp along the Bonaventure River, collected and sawed fire wood, prepared meals, cooked over an open fire, and shared experiences from the day around the campfire.
