It was a great week of golf at VaJoWa. The dry weather and the hard working crew have enabled the course to shape up nicely. Twilight League matches were played and were closely contested. Warren Walker and Bill Dwyer beat Steve Edwards and Everett Boutilier; Ben Walker and Brian McAuliffe bested Brent Kelly and Tim Daggett; and Steve and Parker Walker fell to Steve Merry and Evan McCarthy. Stuart Kelly and Jon Smallwood won over Peter Blood and Greg Gayne; Ralph Powers and Ted Pettengill beat Tom Ryan and Pete Lawlor; and Scot and Ethan Walker had a bye.
Closest to the pin on No. 4 was Steve Merry with 21-feet, two inches and Ken Delano on No. 7 with seven feet, nine inches.
The ABCD Scramble results are as follows: First place with 67, Greg Douglas, Pete Lawlor and Steve Merry; second place one stroke back were Travis Joy, Scot Walker and Adam Drew; and finishing in third were Phil Desmond, Warren Walker and Ken Webb with a 71.
Adam Drew had the longest drive with 315 yards and closest to the pin winners were on No. 7, Phil Desmond with seven feet, eight inches; No. 11 Adam Drew at 15 feet, six inches and on No. 16 Travis Joy at 18 feet.
