DANFORTH — The East Grand Health Center recently received two pieces of equipment thanks to the Health Services Foundation.
“The two otoscopes were requested due to the fact that recently the current ones had become non-performing and we were left having to rely on the only remaining one that was in the children’s exam room,” said Kristi Parker, head of Accounting Services for East Grand Health Center. “We would have to move our patients from the exam room they were in to the children’s room for testing. As we all know this really is not an efficient way to care for a patient and we are so grateful to now have these new pieces right at hand. We also wish to thank the Foundation for all they do for our hospital and the surrounding health centers.”

EQUIPMENT DONATION — The Health Services Foundation recently awarded East Grand Health Center two pieces of equipment. Showing the equipment in use are, from left, Linda McLellan, Cheryl Tardy and Elizabeth Dulin, executive director of the Foundation.
“In keeping with our Mission of ‘Excellence in Health Care’ to all those we serve it was a pleasure to be able to grant the necessary funding to East Grand Health Center for this very much needed equipment,” said Elizabeth Dulin Foundation executive director. “Not only is the face of health care changing rapidly, but also our rural health care clinics can, in some cases, be at a severe disadvantage for even the simplest of funding for everyday pieces that are needed so they can provide the best services they can. It is, however, these rural clinics that are the lifeline for those living in areas without ready access to bigger doctor offices or medical facilities. East Grand Health Center provides caring and compassionate services for their local area and it is imperative we assist them to continue being able to always offer that kind of care. As always, we must thank our donors who consistently support all our efforts, as we would not be able to give back all that we do if it were not for them.”
