RSU 50 accepts resignations

During the July 8 RSU 50 board meeting, there were several appointments, resignations and retirements.
Ann Sherman, elementary teacher at SACS has resigned and Marilyn Burton, English teacher for both sides of the RSU has tendered her resignation. Meagan Brooks, Alternative Education teacher at SACS as resigned to accept an Ed Tech III position.

Coaching appointments for the 2013-14 school year at Katahdin Middle and High School are: Lisa Timberlake, varsity girls soccer and junior varsity girls basketball; Jona Fitzpatrick, middle school girls soccer and varsity girls basketball; and Chris Sagner, middle school boys basketball.
Coaching appointments at Southern Aroostook Community School are: Tom Berry, athletic site supervisor; Kaylea Collier, varsity girls soccer; Cliff Urquhart, varsity boys soccer and varsity girls basketball; Tim Toothaker, junior high boys soccer and junior high boys basketball; Diana Rockwell, junior high girls soccer and junior varsity girls basketball; Bill McAvoy, varsity boys basketball; Heidi Hollis, varsity cheerleading; and Jessica Walker, junior high girls basketball.
Advisers for co-curricular activities are, for Katahdin: Penny Daggett, yearbook; Rowena Harvey, senior class and National Honor Society; Sagner, Civil Rights middle school; Evan Clark, Civil Rights Team; and Jessica Price Howes, art club.
Advisers at SACS are, Susie Tarr, yearbook; Lisa Boutilier/Jon Porter, senior class; Burton, National Honor Society; and Krista Hardy/Terri Slauenwhite, student council.
The next RSU 50 board meeting is Aug. 12 in Stacyville (Katahdin Elementary School) at 6:30 p.m.
