Fun Days coming back to Monticello

MONTICELLO — The Monticello Fun Days Committee is announcing the schedule for the annual Fun Days this Saturday, July 20.
The Monticello Fun Days committee reformed after taking last year off to regroup. This year the celebration moves into the center of town, starting with games for younger children at the Monticello baseball diamond from noon – 2 p.m., including a silver dollar scramble, egg toss, and piñatas.

From 2-5 p.m. the ever popular Survivor Games begin. Participants ages 7 and up can come with their own team of four or join a team there. At the same time, there will be a bounce house and other activities to keep the younger set entertained.
At 5 p.m., the festivities move to the Monticello Fire House for a town supper. The Fun Days committee will supply the grilled chicken, and attendees are asked to bring a side dish.
The festivities continue on into the evening with a dance at the Fire House from 7-11 p.m. with DJ Brady Fitzpatrick.
“There’s definitely something for everyone this year” said committee member Alan Lindquist.
All in all, it promises to be a fun-filled weekend in Monticello, with plenty to do to keep everyone in the family busy and entertained.”
