The Brookside Inn has been one of the finest restaurants in the area since 1993. Owners, Carl and Carmel Watson continue to
strive to maintain a high standard of both service and great food. The full menu offers a variety of homemade courses and fresh homemade desserts.
The Watson’s restaurant has been featured in the “Living Maine” magazine highlighting its array of fresh foods and local in-season produce on the menu. The staff of the Brookside Inn is eager to serve you and has a reputation among customers for being some of the friendliest and efficient servers in the area.
Our head cook has been with us for more than 16 years and has earned the reputation for his much sought after biscuits, breads and cookies. We have also added a new dimension for our patron’s pallets — Mexican food. Our evening cook, Jade King, turns out great quesadillas and also offers buffalo chicken items. For the more sophisticated diner, we offer homemade chicken marsala, as well as our popular lobster rolls and succulent prime rib.
Many days of the week bring added specials for our loyal regulars. Mondays are Senior Citizen’s Day, Tuesday is Customer Appreciation Day with a free piece of homemade cake for each customer and Fridays boast our delicious “All you can eat Haddock Fry.”
Many patrons have taken advantage of our private dining room for their special events. This room will hold up to 30 people.
Besides the restaurant; Brookside Inn also offers a simple quaint motel for your overnight stays. The motel has nine rooms — each with two double beds, satellite TV, air conditioning, phones and a full bath. Both the restaurant and motel offer wireless Internet. Brookside Inn is located on 2277 Rt. 2 Smyrna Mills, just off I-95. They are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday they are open 6 a.m. to 8 pm.
