Katahdin Valley Little League wrapped up its 2013 regular season with a league tournament hosted at the Patten Little League ball field on Saturday, June 15. There are four teams that
make up KVLL — Sherman Giants, Oakfield Falcons, Island Falls Bulldogs and the Patten Pirates.
The Patten Pirates were 11-1 during regular season play, earning them the top seed in the tournament. Patten defeated Island Falls in the championship game to earn its first league championship since 2007. In semifinal action No. 3 Island Falls defeated No. 2 Oakfield and top-ranked Patten bested No. 4 Sherman.
The 2013 KVLL 11/12 year-old All-Stars went 0-2 during All-Star action, losing to Millinocket at Patten on July 1st and losing to Lincoln at Lincoln on July 3.
