HODGDON – Barbara V. Merritt, 73, died Aug. 22, 2013, at home with her family at her side. She was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Houlton, the daughter of Donald and Cynthia (Brewer) Estabrook.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Spellman and Brian Kingsbury; four grandchildren, Cynthia, Brandon, Kerri and Bridget, all of Hodgdon; a sister, Sandra Winship and her husband, Tom, of Old Orchard Beach and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Carey; two sisters, Rosella Jipson and Charlene Raymond; and her companion, Roy Williams.
Friends called 9-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services were held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Lunn officiating. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery.
