The Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education program is offering a Hunters Safety Course on Oct. 9 and 19. This course meets the mandatory Maine licensing requirement for first time hunters and is recommended for all Maine hunters. Attendance is mandatory at both sessions
The Oct. 9 session runs from 6-8:30 p.m., while the Oct. 19 session runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both will be held at the Houlton High School cafeteria. The cost to register is $3 and the instructor is Rick Tidd.
Students must be 10 years of age to take the Hunter Safety course. A guardian who is 18 years old or older must accompany students between 10-12 years of age. Testing assistance is available.
