Winter is at our doorstep and it is once again almost time to close the doors at the Bridgewater Historical Hall. This is a very sad event for all involved. The support we have gotten from you, the public is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We do have the play, “I Only Have Fangs For You”, coming up next Saturday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. A sincere thank you for the generosity of the Smyrna/Merrill Hysterical Players. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased at the door. There will be an intermission where refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there.
Our Halloween Dance was great. There were so many great costumes and I don’t know how our judges, Trudi and Stephen Bradtreet and Larry Milbury were able to choose the winners. They also had to judge our pumpkin contest. We were glad to see our tradition upheld where most everyone was in costume. There was a wide variety of great things to eat donated by the members.
Thursday night was our final music night of the year. Every year it gets tougher and tougher to end this event. Our crowds have grown and our crew gets closer. We wish to thank everyone who has become a part of this event. The musicians of “OUTSIDE IN,” Pam Green, Simon Blawej Clair, Bob Heller, Hughie Gray, Eldon Lawrence, John Wayne Hall, and myself have had a great time performing on stage for the BHA.
The Thursday night kitchen crew, Sue Shaw, Sonny Votaw, and Stephanie Willette, our 50/50 girl, Gloria McCleary, and our photographer Shirley Drew. Many of our members and wonderful audience have been so kind and donated many of our door prizes through the year. What a great bunch!
Everyone of our members assists with “anything” that needs to be done at or for the hall, Shirley Drew, Alberta McDonald, Wayne Bradstreet, Pam Green, Sue Shaw, Dave & Gloria McCleary, Brenda Vennart, Eldon Lawrence, Stephanie Willette, and Sonny Votaw. These folks all put in numerous hours to help keep the hall up and running. Without these dedicated individuals the hall would fall apart. A huge thank you to each and everyone of them. A special thank you to Luke Bradstreet for our lawn care and to Simon Blawej Clair for helping with various construction projects.
We may have another event after the play just before we shut down so again keep your eyes peeled for updates. See you at the play!
