She may not be heading to the New England championship, but Greater Houlton Christian Academy freshman Rylee Warman turned in a stellar cross-country season.

Last Saturday in Cumberland, Warman finished 13th in Class C States with a time of 22:10.56.
“Rylee ran a very strong race on a tough hilly course against outstanding competition,” said Barrett Potter, GHCA athletic director. “Coach Ewings, coach Wiley, myself and GHCA are very proud of her accomplishment and it was a great conclusion to another fantastic year for the cross-country program.”
The top 25 advance to the New England championship, as each winner in their respective class, along with the next 22 finishers as determined by their times in the combined Classes A-B-C are invited to represent Maine.
Washburn’s Carsyn Koch finished first at the State Meet, running the 3.1-mile course in a time of 20:24.79. With her time, she will go on to compete in the New England Championship in Derryfield Park, Manchester, N.H. on Saturday.
