On Saturday, from 10 a.m. until noon, a 5K “Zombie Run” will be held at the Region Two School of Applied Technology on Bird Street in Houlton. The run will serve as a fundraiser for the law enforcement class to purchase training equipment.
The race begins and ends at the school. Zombies will be hanging around zombie zones located around community park. When runners go by the zombies, they try to get the runners’ flags. If a runner gets to the finish line with any flags remaining, they will have time taken off their final race time.
The cost is $20 for runners and $10 for zombies. Registration and zombie make-up start at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. To pre-register or for information call Nancy McDowell 233-1232.
