Regional shoot outs were hosted by individual lodges statewide to not only provide soccer players with a venue to show off their skills but also foster drug awareness which is a key element of the Maine Elks Association.
Each Lodge then sent their top kickers to Augusta to compete in several age categories where the winners will advance to the regional and possibly the National competitions. Regionals will be held in Auburn, Massachusetts on Nov. 8 and 9.
