HODGDON — Basketball fans will not have to travel very far this preseason to see their favorite teams in action.
Hodgdon High School will host two days of exhibition basketball Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30.
Boys and girls teams from Van Buren, Southern Aroostook Community School, Katahdin Area High School, Limestone Community School and Greater Houlton Christian Academy will participate.
Concessions will be available both days and the cost of admission is $5 per day for adults and $2 for students.
Games will feature two, 20-minute halves featuring “running time,” which means the clock will not stop, except for the final two minutes of the second half.
Teams will have 10 minutes for warm-ups and five minutes for halftime.
Friday’s schedule is as follows: 10 a.m., Hodgdon boys versus Van Buren; 11 a.m., Southern Aroostook boys versus Van Buren; noon, Limestone girls versus Southern Aroostook; 1 p.m., Limestone boys versus Southern Aroostook; 2 p.m., Limestone girls versus Katahdin; 3 p.m., Limestone boys versus Katahdin; 4 p.m., GHCA girls versus Southern Aroostook; 5 p.m., GHCA boys versus Southern Aroostook; 6 p.m., Hodgdon girls versus Katahdin; and 7 p.m., Hodgdon boys versus Katahdin.
Saturday’s schedule features: 9 a.m., GHCA girls versus Katahdin; 10 a.m., GHCA boys versus Katahdin; 11 a.m., Hodgdon girls versus Southern Aroostook; noon, Hodgdon boys versus Southern Aroostook; 1 p.m. Katahdin girls versus Southern Aroostook; 2 p.m., Katahdin boys versus Southern Aroostook; 3 p.m., Hodgdon girls versus GHCA; and 4 p.m., Hodgdon boys versus GHCA.
