Ricker Rumblings

Many people will stay in today because of the snowstorm. Snow is falling heavily, as this is written. Big, flakes, fluffy snow making visibility bad. Much of the country is in the same fix, I’m told.

On Monday, we held our annual Christmas party. I enjoy Brian’s (Henderson) seafood chowder. And of course, the Christmas tree with gifts. What would Christmas be, without a party? Christopher Polk, nephew of Lois Downing, from Calais, was a recent caller of his aunt. One of the ladies lost her wallet with license, and other important papers. Hope you found it. Pray to St. Anthony, patron of lost articles.
Our newest tenants and next door neighbors are Daniel and Gail Toby with their little dog. Hope your stay at Ricker Plaza is a long and happy one.
My angel quote is: “Wherever on earth a light shines into dark places, there will an angel be; shining hope into despair love into hate, and tolerance into ignorance.”
Wonderful Christmas stories on the television, if you are lucky enough to find them, also the act of paying forward is significant. There’s where the Christmas spirit is present.
Lavina Byron and Gerry Dunn have been attending the basketball games, thanks to Gerry’s daughter. Now, aren’t they the sports!
My Bible notation is: “Blessed be the Lord; the God of Israel…” (Luke 1.68). Keep on giving, whatever you are doing, small or big, and our God will reward you. Have a wonderful week, with joy and good health.
