CARIBOU — The 2014 Maine Potato Conference will be held Jan. 22-23 at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
This year’s conference will feature a trade show sponsored by the Central Aroostook Young Farmers and two days of educational programs. There will be presentations on nitrogen, potassium, new potato varieties, potato late blight, wireworms, aphids, PVY, post-harvest application technology, weather patterns and more. The Florida test results will also be presented Thursday afternoon.
Pesticide recertification and CCA credits will be available.
Registration will open at 7:45 a.m. and the program will begin at 8:20 a.m. each day. The cost to attend the conference is $15 for one day and $20 for both days.
