College scholarships available to high school students

    Applications are now being accepted through the “Buckle Up for Bobby” organization for the Bobby Rogers and Tiffany Walters Memorial Scholarships. Area students preparing for college are encouraged to submit their application. One of the requirements

for eligibility is that they complete the “Alive at 25” class offered by local and state police officers.
    Interested students can choose to apply for either scholarship. A total of eight scholarships in the amount of $500 each will be awarded. Scholarship applications will be accepted until April 15.

    “Buckle Up For Bobby” was established in September of 2012 in memory of Sheri and Duke Rogers’ son, Bobby Rogers, and fellow classmate Tiffany Walters, who were lost the same year. For additional information visit http://buckleupforbobby.com.
