Lois I. Hooper, 84, died March 20, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones at a local hospital. She was born in Westfield on August 27, 1929, the daughter of Bennie and Reta (Lunney) Benjamin.
Lois attended Houlton Wesleyan Church with her husband of 57 years, Ashman. She enjoyed collecting owls and playing card games. She and Ashman lived in Florida, NY, for over thirty years where she was employed by Modern Produce of New York for 20-plus years.
Lois is survived by her husband, Ashman of Houlton; son, Delmont Benjamin and wife, Susan, of Florida, NY; two brothers, Merle of TX, Wilmot and Barb of Easton. She is also survived by special nieces, Paula Scott, Jan and Aaran Neureuther; sister-in-law Marilyn Hooper; son-in-law Wayne Pierce; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Jacqueline Crone Pierce; and sister, Erma MacDonald.
