3rd grade, Mill Pond School
This winter third grade went outside with Mrs. Burrill and Mrs. Floyd (pictured) to experiment at Mill Pond School in extremely cold weather. They wanted to see what happened to cold water, hot water, and bubbles.
First, Mrs. Floyd took a cup of hot water and threw it in the air. It froze into ice right when it touched the ground. Next, they did the same thing with cold water. She threw it in the air and POOF! It was snow. Everyone said, “Wow,” and stood there amazed. Then we blew bubbles. They flew away without popping. That’s the story of the third grade experiment with bubbles, hot water, and cold water.
