Take Off Pounds Sensibly chapter 9233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its March 28 meeting. Fifteen ladies were present; three of these were KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).
Diane Folsom was in attendance as leader. Loser of the week was Denise Clark and runner-up was Marsha Reed. The skinny dish winner was Denise Clark with the 50/50 winner Millie Gagnon.
For the program Marsha Reed gave many reasons to lose weight, taken from the current TOPS magazine. Some of the lessons are put less on a plate; place all you are going to eat on the same plate and eat healthy.
Our Easter contest is going along well, according to chairman Betty Wyman. Our theme for the workshop is “Buzzing Along.’’ Our chapter is hosting and the workshop will be held in June, in Houlton.
Our members brought money and food and other articles for the Ark Sanctuary, recently burned. Charlotte Marley will have charge of the next program.
