HOULTON – Stella M. (Sercerchi) Fowler, 91, died April 10, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. She was born May 14, 1922, at Woodstock, NB, Canada, the daughter of Henry and Julia (Ouellette) Sercerchi.
Stella was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. She married the love of her life John E. Fowler and moved to Houlton. She worked at the Aroostook General Hospital and Houlton Regional Hospital. She loved being with her family, gardening and knitting.
Stella is survived by four children, Joanne Carpenter and her husband Michael, John Fowler and his wife Mary, Kevin Fowler and his wife Margaret, Darlene Longstaff and her husband Brian; seven grandchildren, Charles “CT” Daly and his wife Stephanie, Dennis Daly and his wife Mary, Joleen and Mathew Lilley, Jennifer Thompson and her husband Clinton, Patrick and Breanna Longstaff, and Emily Carpenter; seven great-grandchildren, Thomas “Tommy” Daly, Gage Daly, Launi Daly and Sara Daly, Gabriel Lilley, Kaleb & Collin Thompson; a sister, Anna Murphy; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John E. Fowler, brothers John, Ralph, Antonio “Tony” and Albert Sercerchi.
Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home, Monday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Spring interment will be in the St. Mary’s cemetery.
