Happy May everyone! I inquired what month we were celebrating and here is what I found: National Foster Care Month, Celiac Awareness Month, National Inventions Month, National Smile Month, Art Month, National History Observation Month, Hepatitis Awareness Month and many more!
“A Matter of Balance” class in the community room continues to be a favorite spot on Friday morning. First time members were present this past week. Sue Glick was a demonstrator of Tai Chi. She is associated with Market Square Wellness in downtown Houlton. It was all very interesting.
Thank you to all who have been leaving bags. Appreciate that. One of our swings has been placed outside — that is a sign of spring. Has it really arrived? Jeannie Hall was recently hospitalized. She told me she was there for five days. Better now.
Harriet Barnett is at a Brewer rehab facility after a fall at Ricker Plaza. Harriett, wife of Joe, get better. I’m sure you are in pain.
Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist were conferred at St. Mary of the Visitation by the Most Rev. Robert P. Deeley. The candidates were: Arlana Ardell, Elena Ardell, Isabella Ardell, Julian Banas, Keira Champion, Isaac Desrosiers, David Dewitt, Lucy Hebert, Garnett Fitzpatrick, Alexis Ganzel, Joseph Griffin, Riley Holmes, Kelbe Honeycutt, McKenzie Honeycutt, Faith Howland, Hope Howland, Luke Howland, Nora Kenney, Carissa Michaud, Meghan Peters, and Dominic Phillips. Congratulations and best wishes to all.
I continue to get many phone calls that are “duds,” that is nobody is on the line after picking up. Can anyone tell me what is going on? My angel ending is: “These things I warmly wish for you—Someone to love, Some work to do, A bit o’ sun, A bit o’ cheer, And a guardian angel, Always near. (Old Irish Greeting)
Have a safe and joyful week everyone.
