To the editor:
Thanks to our children, parents and community for your support of Houlton Star Bright Children’s Theatre in our recent production of Star Bright Magic.
As the Board of Directors, we are so grateful to so many — the music department and custodial staff of Houlton High School for all their help and expertise; the Houlton Performing Arts Center for a wonderful performance space; the businesses and organizations, schools and individuals who contributed goods and services; First Baptist Church and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church for rehearsal space; and those who assisted with costuming, make-up, set, box office, programs.
This year’s production featured the work of four local student playwrights — Jordan Farnham, Hope Chernesky, Quinn White and Anna Hogan — and included more than 70 children on stage and working tech. We are very proud of all of them for their commitment and hard work, their talent and creativity; and we deeply appreciate their parents and families for much extra time and help. What a joy it is to be part of a community that does so much to support Houlton Star Bright Children’s Theatre!
