Tennis teams finish year in Van Buren

The Houlton High School tennis teams finished their seasons last Tuesday with their final matches against host Van Buren.
The Houlton boys (6-6) defeated Van Buren 5-0.
In singles, Lucas Grant (H) def. Thomas LaJoie 8-4; Ethan Nickerson (H) def. Peter Rioux 8-2; and Josh Sullivan (H) def. Bradlee Roy 8-6.
In doubles: Robby Woods/Steven Phillips (H) def. Travis Lebel/Max Beaulieu 8-3; and Christian Crane/Dakota Gamour (H) def. Noah LaJoie/Paul Rioux 8-1.
The Houlton girls (0-12) were beaten 5-0 by host Van Buren (8-0).
In singles, Parise Rossignol (VB) def. Tessa Winship 8-0; Courtney Parent (VB) def. Caleigh Sullivan 8-1; and Chantal Deveau (VB) def. Piper Flewelling 8-3.
In doubles, Felisha Bouchard/Jacinta Deschaine (VB) def. Emily Mooers/Sarah Delano 8-1; and Isabel Parent/Alexis Ouellette (VB) def. June Choi/Rachel Provost 8-2.
