On June 11, the Happy Losers held their weekly meeting at the Congregational Church vestry in Island Falls. The leader, Jackie Pratt, opened the meeting with greetings and the pledge and roll call.
Nine members weighed-in and eight attended the meeting. Riva Hawkes was the loser of the week, and Ann Morse was runner-up. Great job ladies! Reports were given by the secretary and treasurer for the week.
This is the last week of our contest between the Apple Blossons and the Lilacs, so far the Lilacs are winning. Joan Sides led the program for the week, which was a topic on eating the right foods, like nuts, fruits and vegetables, and also watch your blood pressure.
