Machias Savings Bank has announced it will be offering our 10th Annual Community Development Grant. This year’s award has been increased to $40,000. The grant will be awarded to a deserving project(s) located or serving in Machias Savings Banks primary lending area as defined in its CRA Public File.
The goal of this grant is to fund projects that result in a satisfactory level of community development. Among the most favorably considered applications will be projects or services that: create or retain jobs, revitalize communities within our service area, help to provide affordable housing or other programs designed to assist low- to-moderate income individuals and/or families.
Since the grant’s inception in 2005, MSB has awarded $205,000 to various community development projects throughout our service area.
