HOULTON — Chris Anderson, president of the F.A. Peabody Company, announced that Dawn Halkyard, ACSR, CIIP of the FAPCO Sherman office has been named the state of Maine recipient for “Outstanding CSR of the Year” by the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
Each year The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research selects a group of insurance professionals to represent their state and compete to become the national Outstanding CSR of the Year. This prestigious award, regarded as the foremost national award of its kind, recognizes the contributions and commitment of those who serve clients within the insurance industry.
Entrants must have demonstrated commendable service to their agencies, their industry and their communities.
Anderson said, “Dawn’s unwavering dedication to the insurance business and her love of community make her a most deserving recipient of this award.”

Halkyard began her insurance career with FAPCO in 2006 and earned her Maine Property & Casualty Insurance license in 2008. She has served in several roles for FAPCO, most recently as a commercial lines and personal lines customer service agent. She was recently promoted to staff supervisor of the Sherman Branch office in 2013.
In addition to being named state of Maine Outstanding CSR of the Year, Halkyard has been an active member of the Insurance Association of Greater Houlton since 2007 and was named Insurance Woman of the Year in 2009. She has earned her ACSR, Accredited Customer Service Representative and CIIP, Certified Insurance Industry Professional designations. Currently, Halkyard is working on attaining her CISR Certified Insurance Service Representative designation and completing the Certified Leadership Program through IAIP.
