ATV, hunter and crossbow safety courses being offered

A Hunter Safety Course will be held Sept. 10 and Sept. 20 at Houlton High School. The Sept. 10 course will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and on the 20th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An ATV course will be Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hodgdon Fire Station.

A Crossbow Safety Training Program will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 2-5 p.m. at the Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club on the Airport Road.

An Archery Safety Course is set to start Tuesday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 27. The course will be held from 5:30-8:30  p.m. on the 16th and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 27th. The course will be held at the Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club.

Students ages 10-12 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the full program. Maximum class sizes are 40 students.
