Houlton Community Chorus, in its 50th year, is planning for its fall and spring concerts. Several programs of Christian music will be presented at local nursing homes. A more diverse concert of classical and contemporary music will be held in the spring.
Membership in the chorus is open to everyone. There are no auditions and no age limitations. The mission of the organization is twofold: to present quality vocal music to the Houlton community and to provide an opportunity for singers of any age to get together to sing their favorite music.
Rehearsals are scheduled for every other Thursday evening from 7-9 at First Baptist Church, 46 Court St., Houlton, beginning Oct. 23 and then on Nov. 6, Nov. 20 and Dec. 4.
