Island Falls Senior Citizens

The Island Falls Senior Citizens met at the Municipal Building Oct. 16 with 14 members present.
After a delicious potluck lunch, we had entertainment with Rich Camire on his guitar, then went on to our regular business meeting. President Rich opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Flag Salute, followed by the secretary and treasurer’s reports.

A discussion ensued on our next meeting, which will be our semiannual fund-raiser, our Thanksgiving Dinner. Members graciously volunteered to prepare and bring their specialty, and soon the entire dinner was planned. After the adjournment of the business meeting, we played several games of Bingo with Verna Boone as the big winner.
The next meeting will be Nov. 2, and will be a turkey dinner with all the fixings. There will be a charge of $5 per plate to go toward our annual scholarship fund. Members and their guests are urged to attend, and also any senior in the community who would like to attend and see what our group is all about.
Members present were Donna Furrow, Ellie Peck, Verna Boone, Ursula Levesque, Mary Lawler, Gloria Noyes, Jeanne Clements, Rich Camire, Mary Joy, Darrell Hartin, Mary Pipes, Edith Dwyer and Terry Dwyer.
