Katahdin Elementary School holds fund-raising effort

For the second year in a row, the students and families of Katahdin Elementary School in Stacyville have exceeded the annual fund-raising goal of $12,350.  This resulted in the principal, Mrs. Cunningham, being “treed” in the gym on Wednesday. She spent the whole day up there in her bear costume and it is rumored that she may have hibernated for part of the day!

The top salespeople were announced before dismissal. Each had the opportunity to douse Mrs. Cunningham with “honey” (Silly String) when she finally came down. A wonderful time of laughs and squeals was had by all. On Thursday, the top salespeople went with Mrs. Cunningham to the Hangar in Patten for a pizza for lunch.
