   PT Brian Donnelly HOULTON – Brian A. “Donk” Donnelly, 47, passed away at his residence Oct. 28, 2014. He was born July 6, 1967, at Houlton, the son of Blake and Phyllis (Tarr) Donnelly.
    Donk grew up in Houlton and was a graduate of Houlton High School, Class of ‘85. He excelled in many sports including baseball and basketball, receiving the Willie Varney Award. Donk was a longtime employee of Ward Log Homes. Following this, he worked for the Micmac in Presque Isle and worked for the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians in their Human Resources Department. Donk served on the Houlton Town Council and was a sports announcer for WHOU. He was an avid Red Sox and NY Giants fan. Donk enjoyed playing golf at the Houlton Community Golf Course and coached Little League and rec basketball. He was a longtime member of the Houlton Lodge of Elks, serving in many capacities. He always “enjoyed his time in the garage.” Donk always had a smile on his face and was a great friend to all. He was a loving father, son and brother.
    Donk is survived by his parents, Blake and Phyllis Donnelly; his son, David Matthew Donnelly, all of Houlton; his brother, John White Sr.; three nephews, John White, Jr., both of Houlton, Michael White of Linneus, Jared White of Bangor; special aunt, Val Stewart of Linneus; many cousins; and longtime friend, Bob Lorom.
    Friends called at the Houlton Wesleyan Church Saturday 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Tuttle officiating. Interment was in the Linneus Cemetery.
