HOULTON — Today is the last day of the Books Are Fun in the lobby of Houlton Regional Hospital. The event is open to the general public, as well as hospital employees.
“We would like to invite everyone in the surrounding area to come join us for another unique shopping experience,” said Mike Tuttle, Books Are Fun representative.
Books Are Fun will be offering 15 percent off items, reducing products on the display tables by 5 percent and then at the cash register, customers get an additional 10 percent savings. That is in addition to the already 30 to 70 percent retail savings on items.
Tuttle’s wife, Carolyn, will also be on hand to answer questions about products and to ring up purchases.
Merchandise ranges from books, toys, home décor to items seen on television and the even more unique products.
Among the sales will be a Christmas light pole, which is very popular; winter scene fleece blankets and a wireless speaker tower.
Ten percent of the net sales go back to the local hospital.
