HOULTON, Maine — The town’s Board of Budget Review is now evaluating the 2015 municipal budget and several meetings are coming up for the board. All of these meetings are open to the public.
On Monday, Dec. 1, the group will meet from 6-8 p.m. in the council chambers to go over the following cost centers: administration, debt service, employee benefits, projects, parks and recreation, civic center, fire, ambulance and cemeteries.
On Wednesday, Dec. 3, the group will review assessing, tax abatements, code enforcement, police, capital reserve, projects, public works and roads.
A final review of the overall budget will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10 before it is presented to the town council on Monday, Dec. 15 at a special meeting.
