HODGDON – Timothy Francis O’Donnell, 60, of Hodgdon, Maine passed away with his family by his side December 4, 2014, in Houlton. He was born April 3, 1954, in Houlton, the son of Francis and Barbara (McClay) O’Donnell.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Houlton. Tim and his wife Sharon were owners of Sadie’s Bakery for 38 years, but his true passion was his farming business.
Tim will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 39 years Sharon (Nickerson) O’Donnell; two children, Stacy and Corey Suitter and Timothy James and Cara (Ellis) O’Donnell, both of Hodgdon. He took great pride in his five grandchildren, Ella, Molly, Wyatt, Neve and Liv. He is survived by six siblings, Mary O’Donnell and Ritchie Guilford of Canaan, Marguerite and Timothy Cowan of Brewer, Michael and Marcia O’Donnell of Albion, Jean O’Donnell and Martin Goldsmith of Niskayuna, New York, Douglas and Tamara O’Donnell of Pownal, and Jane and Mark Hutchinson of South China. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Barbara Nickerson, many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, farming and playing cards. Even throughout his battle with cancer, Tim’s love of life, family and friends was evident to all.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Houlton. A celebration of Tim’s life at Saint Mary’s Church followed the interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Mary’s Church.
