LINNEUS, Maine — A Linneus man was homeless Friday after a fire ravaged his South Shore Road home.
Christian Putnam’s home burned to the ground in the early morning hours Friday. Putnam was able to escape the home without injury, but a couple of dogs went missing after they were removed from the home.
Attempts to reach Linneus Fire Chief Mark Ganzel for details on what started the fire were not successful by presstime.
Putnam, a morning radio personality for WHOU, lost everything in the fire. The station is in the process of fundraising for him.
“WHOU is trying to find support for Chris in any way we can,” said station owner Fred Grant. “Those who would be willing to support him during this time, we would greatly appreciate it. If you would like to donate to a fund to support Chris you can make checks payable to WHOU and note the ‘Chris Putnam Fund’ on the check or you can donate through PayPal.”
