NEW LIMERICK and CRYSTAL – Edward D. Campbell, 78, passed away peacefully at his home December 20, 2014. He was born February 15, 1936 in Island Falls, the son of Basil and Hazel (Wilkens) Campbell.
Edward grew up in Crystal where he worked on a dairy farm for his teenage years. He made his living farming for several years, worked as an independent truck driver that led to his working for the MDOT, where he retired from after 29 years. He was predeceased by his older brother, Scott Andrew Campbell and a grandson, Kristopher Neal Campbell.
His is survived by his wife of 60 years, Reginia (Emery) Campbell; six children, Ann Campbell and her significant other, Dale Swimm, Edward Dean Campbell Jr. and his wife, Laurie (Lindsay) Campbell, David Leroy and his wife, Karen (Betts) Campbell, Debra Jean Crane and her husband, John, Cindy Campbell Webb and her significant other, Bill, Donna Lynn Campbell; fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, David Campbell and his wife, Donna; several nieces and nephews.

At Edward’s request there will be a private graveside service in the spring. Donations can be made in Edward’s memory to Houlton Humane Society and Animal Ark Sanctuary. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
