To the editor:
We have just celebrated the birth of humanity’s Savior. He and every newborn arrive needing care and help. We quickly learn if we cry out, help may be nearby. Many kind and dear parents help us to learn of our heavenly parent’s ways, while we begin to help ourselves. We are not helpless in any of our adventuresome days. We “never” become totally independent. Some babies are named Ezra — translated “help” — and many more become helpmates.
For eight years, the United States Secretary of Agriculture was called Ezra (Taft Benson). He was the longest serving member of President Eisenhower’s Cabinet. His help was greatly appreciated then, and in 2015, his kind of help is needed again. His conviction was that after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the next greatest thing to occur in human history is the visit of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith.
The errors of record keepers and translators have caused contradictions. These errors cannot disclaim the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Today, there is clarification for misleading records. The facts are available for all those misinformed to discover.
Millions of people can now view the movie, “Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration.” Go to Hulu, a free website that offers streaming video.
