HOULTON – Alice Geraldine Joslyn, 78, passed away January 5, 2015, at a local healthcare facility. She was born May 9, 1936, at Patten, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Mason) Cole.
Alice grew up in the Patten area and attended Houlton schools. She met and married George Joslyn on July 20, 1956, and they have enjoyed 58 years together. Alice was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading a good book, cooking, and having good conversations. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put others ahead of herself.
Alice is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Joslyn of Houlton; her children, Laurie Miller and Greg of Houlton, Tim Joslyn of Key West, FL, Calvin Joslyn of Houlton, Faith Joslyn Hartford of Westbrook; several grand-children; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Florence Nason of Houlton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral service were held at the Houlton Wesleyan Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Revs. Wayne Robertson and Mel Norton officiating.
